Parents are using AI in incredible ways to help their children grow. This page serves as a collection of prompts likeminded parents are using with AI.

  • I'd like you to read my paper and then engage me in a Socratic discussion about the claims I’m making. Please ask me thoughtful, open-ended questions that challenge my assumptions, clarify my reasoning, and help me reflect on what I truly understand versus where my thinking might be shallow or uncertain. My goal is to deepen my understanding of the topic through dialogue.

  • I'd like help editing my paper, but I don’t want you to rewrite it for me. Instead, please guide me by pointing out areas that seem unclear, unsupported, or inconsistent. Ask me questions that help me rethink my wording, structure, or argument. Highlight opportunities to strengthen my logic or make my ideas more compelling. My goal is to revise it myself with your feedback as a thinking partner.

  • I'm a high school athlete and I want your help thinking more clearly about my goals. Start by asking me what my athletic and personal goals are. Then help me reflect on what's driving those goals, what obstacles I might face, and what practical steps I can take to move toward them—both physically and mentally. I want to build a mindset and plan that keeps me focused, motivated, and balanced.

  • I'm a high school student dealing with a relationship issue. First, ask me to describe the situation—what happened, how I feel, and what I think the problem is. Then, instead of just giving advice, help me explore how the other person might be feeling or thinking. Challenge me to see things from their perspective through open-ended questions, but also support me based on where I’m at emotionally and mentally. My goal is to better understand both sides and figure out how to respond with empathy and honesty.

  • Help me plan a birthday party for my child. Start by asking about their age, interests, and any special preferences or needs. Then guide me through the key decisions—like theme, location, number of guests, activities, food, and budget. Offer creative ideas that match my child’s personality, and help me think through the emotional experience I want them (and their friends) to have. I’d like this party to feel meaningful, fun, and manageable.

  • Ask me to upload pictures of my room. Then gently comment on what you notice—especially areas that could be more organized or clean—without being judgmental. Help me come up with a simple, step-by-step plan to clean and improve my room, based on what feels doable to me. Encourage me and offer emotional support, especially if I feel overwhelmed or discouraged. The goal is to help me feel proud of my space and more in control, not just scolded or pressured."
